January seemed to slip past a little quicker then I would have liked. Even though around here it hasn't seemed much like winter, but I think that goes for most of the country. Not much happened around here besides the usual, school, homework, eat & sleep and we have each taken our turn getting sick. I somehow waited until everyone else had already gotten sick to finally get sick, just when I was starting to think I was immuned. We (well I guess more Josh and I since we don't share all the details with the kids) have been on the up and down roller coaster of my Mom's health. She has been in the hospital for 3 weeks now and it has been a challenge to be so far away to not help her, to not see her, to rely on others to keep me informed and to play "telephone" interpreting what all the doctors and nurses have told them instead of hearing it first hand. The only thing out of the normal for us was the Monster Truck show came to town and they had a few of the trucks set up around town and there was one nearby. Josh took Bryson down (in between rain storms) and got these pictures.
Bryson bugged us for the next few days to go to the show, but we didn't plan for it and the tickets were way too expensive. He was a little bummed, ok, a lot bummed. But he enjoyed seeing the trucks and meeting the driver and even got his autograph... which I think that I threw away (ooops!)
That is our month in a round up, we will hopefully have a more eventful February. I'm looking forward to eating treats again since I gave it up on Jan 1st and it's been okay, but there are times that I just crave something with sugar in it, I even dreamed about buying donuts last night. Valentine day is my day of freedom! I am definately counting!
