Waiting

So i really HATE waiting, and I am sure that Josh hates it more then me. We have been waiting for what seems like FOREVER to see if he is accepted into dental school, and he got updated today that he has been put on the "Waiting List". WHAT?!?!?! (Disclaimer, he hasn't received an official e-mail from the school yet, but it is posted on ADDSAS, which is usually accurate, so maybe there is like 1%, I wish greater, that this information could be wrong.) Continuing on with my venting... He has done everything that he has needed to, he has amazing scores on his D.A.T. (better then most Kentucky residents) and he has even taken classes to prove that he is smart and can perform well in class. He interviewed early and now we have been waiting and waiting and WAITING, and now they want us to wait some more. I am pretty upset, so I know that Josh is more upset then me. So please if everyone can keep him in your prayers. There still is hope to get in this year, but I really don't like waiting. Josh has done everything that he needs to do and has proven what a wonderful person he is, he really deserves this. I really wish that there is something that I can do, but no, I can only WAIT with him.

So I got this song forwarded to me and I totally agree with it and so I thought that I would share it with all of you guys. The pictures are a little random on it, but I like the lyrics... check it out on youtube.

Thanksgiving & Morgantown

This Thanksgiving weekend we went and spent it with Josh's brother, Jacob & his family, Julia, Loraya & Isaac, who just moved to Morgantown, West Virginia. So after Josh finished working on Wednesday we loaded up the car and the kids and headed off to Morgantown, which is suppose to be about a 6 1/2 hour drive. We left our house around 3pm and FINALLY got to their home at 11pm. It was a VERY LONG "6 1/2 hour drive." We hit a lot of traffic in Cincinnati, which was going very slow. There was so many cars on the road, plus it was raining that there were a lot of accidents, but we did finally make it there to have a great weekend with Jacob & Julia!

Thanksgiving Day!

Here Josh & Jacob are making the pies for Thanksgiving dinner. Julia & I left to go get stuff for a 7 layer dip and when we returned the boys had made 2 pies & sweet potatoes. What wonderful husbands we have! Everything turned out REALLY good. We were grateful to join up with some wonderful people that Jacob & Julia have met and we all celebrated together at the institute building. We had GREAT food, GREAT company, and lots of fun games to play. It was a fun day, even though we missed all of our normal Thanksgiving traditions and ALL of our family.

Look at all of that good food.
Yum, Yum, Yum!!

This is a picture of the picture of a Turkey that Megan drew on the board. I think that she did awesome. She drew everything, except I wrote turkey. And even check out her cute pants that she is wearing, we got them for a couple of bucks and the local flea market, what a deal!
Black Friday

Julia & I got up at 4:30 in the morning to make it to Wal-mart in the morning at 5am. We both forgot our cameras but WOW, the lines were Sooooooooooooo LONG! We only had to wait in line to get into Target, and it was FREEZING. But it was a lot of fun and is always a rush to run in and get items. We both ended up with great deals, and everything that we didn't find at the store we got on-line with FREE shipping. We later stopped by Best Buy to check out more deals and let the kids rock out to "Rock Band".

We later went out to eat at our favorite restaurant, Cheddars!

Scenic Morgantown
Morgantown is a very pretty area, and so interesting how people build everything up on these hills. I tried my best to take pictures, but really it does it no justice.

Cooper's Rock
Jacob & Julia took us up to Cooper's Rock to check out the scenic views. It was so pretty, even though the trees were all bare. It was a lot of fun to let the kids play around in the leaves. While we were there Bryson was just loving his Uncle Jacob, he was just laughing at him, it was really cute.

Jacob would throw all the leaves up in the air, and Josh caught a picture after he had thrown all the leaves.

We had TON of fun with Jacob, Julia, Loraya & Isaac. Thank you so much for letting us come crash your house for Thanksgiving. We look forward to many more holidays together now that we live closer.
Our drive home was A LOT better, we took a different route so that we wouldn't have to go through 2 big cities. We made it home in normal time with no screaming kids. Now we just have some catching up to do.

Giving Thanks!

I just thought that it was appropriate to give some thanks this time of year for all of the WONDERFUL things that I have and people that I have in my life.
I am thankful for my WONDERFUL, AMAZING, SEXY husband.
I am thankful for my 2 crazy kids that keep me on my feet and challenge me, but at the end of the day I wouldn't give them up for anything.
I am thankful for my wonderful parents that have raised me, and gave me what I needed to become who I am today. And also for not giving up on me when times got tough.
I am thankful for wonderful in-laws that raised my husband to be the wonderful man that he is, and for helping us get into our first home.
I am thankful for my Brother & sisters for giving me people to count on, and to tease me to make me a stronger person.
I am thankful for all of my in-law Brothers & Sisters for accepting me into the family and for all the fun times, game nights, and crowded home visits. It's always fun!
I am thankful for the Gospel in my life and for knowing that even though we are so far from all of our family, we have such wonderful people within the Church to take us in and help us with all that we need. I am thankful for all that the people before us gave up so that the Gospel could be here on the earth today. And I am thankful for a wonderful, kind, loving Prophet that we have today and all the wonderful leaders in the Church.
I am thankful for all that I have in my life and for all of those that have guided me to where I am today.

Farewell to my Little Brother

My little brother enters the MTC today to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Uruguay, Monte Video West mission. Here are a few pictures that I have of him to embarrass him, too bad he can't check this in the MTC. But I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of him and I look forward to watching him grow into a man on his mission. He is going to change so many people's lives and make so many people happy by his strong testimony. He has always been a good example to me and I know that he really is going to make a difference in Uruguay. Good luck little bro!

Sunday Afternoon

We had a fun afternoon playing in the basement. Megan loved pulling Bryson around in the wagon, and then I pulled them around for a little while. Once Josh came and joined us we pulled out their tunnels and they all had fun crawling around in them, so I had to take a picture.

Bryson looking so handsome in his Sunday outfit, you can also check out his first tooth! His second tooth is starting to come through. Fun times!

Sexy?

Okay, so here is my fashion "leap of faith". I have never worn pointed toe shoes. So I want your opinion, are they sexy or do they look like elf shoes?
This is what you get when you have your 4 year old take the picture.

I've Been Tagged

So I have been tagged, (thanks to Kristin H) and I am sure that most of you know what is suppose to happen, I give you 6 random facts about me and then I tag 6 more people to do the same. So I think that this is suppose to help people get to know me a little better, so I will try and think of things that will help everyone get to know me better. Here goes nothing.

1. I HATE confrontation. I hate telling people that they are wrong, or that something is wrong. I think that I am getting better at it lately, since I have been dealing with issues with our house, but usually when I get faced with confrontation, I would rather crawl in a deep dark hole and hide then face the problem.

2. I do not like to cook, but I LOVE to bake. I think that I will always have "5 more pounds" to lose since I just love baking, and eating goodies. But cooking dinner, that definitely is a chore, I would rather do the dishes then cook dinner. One reason why I loved living in California, since Josh cooked dinner when I went to work.

3. I do not clean my bathroom floors. I think that it is disgusting, and I don't do it. I will vacuum them to get the hair up, but I let Josh clean them. (I love you Josh!)

4. Also I don't touch meat. I think that it is gross, and if I have to cook it then I can't eat it. I do good with ground beef and pork chops, but if anything needs to be cut up, Josh is cooking dinner for the night. Which isn't a bad deal, since I don't like to cook dinner. I really do have a GREAT husband!

5. I am horrible with fashion. I have been slowly in training from Josh's Mom, and sister, Kandis. I like to think that I am getting the hang of things, but I am always reminded how little I know about putting outfits together. Thanks to a great Mom-in law to help me keep updated, or I think that I would still be dressing in the 90's. I have also taken a leap of faith in fashion. You will have to stay tuned to upcoming posts to see what I mean. Just to give you a hint, I always think elves.

6. Okay, one more... this really is hard. I love finding good deals. I get so excited for the Sunday paper to come when we get all of our adds and coupons. I love clipping coupons and getting things for under $1. I also will enter just about any contest there is, to get things for FREE, the best deal out there. I have only won 1 thing since I moved from Utah which was a free stamp set. But for those of you that live in Utah, and like free stuff, Watch Good Things Utah and enter the contests. I won at least something every other month. I won, a CD, a book, an invite to the scrapping party where you get taught by the professionals and given a TON of free scrapbooking stuff, & I got a makeover, which included 2 massages, hair cut & color and shopping for an outfit (which unfortunately they didn't let me keep.) and then a few minutes of air time to show off what they did. Another good reason to watch is because Josh's Aunt Val (the relationship gal) just started on the show for a segment, which I don't know the name of, but she is amazing and I wish that I lived there to watch her.

Well, there are my 6 things. I hope that you found something interesting. And now who to tag... Sarah W., Tiffani M., Jess, Dad, Annie D., Janelle F., & Natalie B. (Yes I want you to do it, you need to add something to your blog.) Have fun, and I look forward to reading all of your 6 fun/interesting things.

Bryson has finally figured out crawling on his hands and knees. He was held up since he fractured his arm, but only 3 days after getting his cast off, he has figured it out.

Hanging Out!

Our visit with Grandma & Grandpa Kelly has ended, so I thought that I would share a few pictures of our time together.

Josh's Day Off!
What else would you rather do on a day off with your parents visiting from out of town?... Of course, put in a garage door opener! Well, that is what Josh and his Dad did. I am very proud of them to figure it out and put it in, and now very grateful that it is in now that the weather is colder. Now I don't have to climb out of the car and open the garage door. Thanks guys!
Just chilling at home. I thought that this picture was very cute, even tho I had a "better" picture of Grandma, I chose this one! :-)
Megan practicing photography, I think that she does very well.
I had to get a picture of Josh in here, so here he is being a great husband and wonderful Dad, & giving me a break! I love you!
Saying Good Bye, is always the hardest.
Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for everything. We wish that we could have had more time with you. We look forward to the next time we will get together, hopefully soon. And Grandpa we will have to take you driving around the country side so you can see more of the beautiful Kentucky.
We Love You Guys!

KFC

Eating at Grandpa Kelly's favorite place... KFC. They have the buffet when you dine in, so of course we did, and it was good food, good times, and a lot of mess (Check out Bryson).

It's Off!

So yesterday (Monday) Bryson got his cast off. He screamed the entire time that they were sawing it off, we got that on video, but no pictures. But after it was off we let him play with it and he thought that it was pretty cool. But he is all healed up now and is slowing starting to use it more and more. He still won't put a lot of weight on it yet, but the doctor said that it would be a couple of days before he would put more weight on it.

Bass Pro Shop

Who would have known that we would have had so much fun at the Bass Pro Shop? Josh's parents flew in yesterday and we took a trip to the Bass Pro Shop for Grandpa, and it was really cool. There was amazing animal displays everywhere that everyone loved!
