The day had finally come, the moment that everyone had traveled out for. We started off the day with a pre show of watching Bryson play soccer. After the game, some lunch, food preperation, a quick nap & filling the font, we were ready for the...
Main Event!
Megan was baptized by her Father on Saturday, Oct 22nd at approximately 3:30pm. Some notes from the day: Megan had invited all of our neighbors but only 1 of them was able to come. We were so blessed to have our wonderful neighbor, Vilma, come to celebrate this amazing day with us. Megan invited our friends, Celeste Cottrell & Tiffany Gremmert to give prayers. Grandma Nordgren gave a talk on Baptism, and Grandma Kelly gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Megan was very nervous to get baptized. After Josh and she was excused we waited for awhile and they still didn't come out. So I ran back to the bathroom where she was crying as she was going to the bathroom. She was so nervous about going out and having everyone watch her. After a quick pep talk and a reassurance that everything will be okay she headed out. According to friends that were watching they said that she didn't look nervous when she came out. It was a great ceremony and we are so proud of our little girl. She looked beautiful in her white dress. After the ceremony we had appetizers for everyone and took some pictures.
Later that night her Grandparents gave her a late birthday gift...
a new set of scriptures with her name engraved on them with a bonus of each of their testimonies written to her... and the cute scripture bag too. What an amazing present and a special day!
