Josh's Interview & Birthday!!

Josh had his interview at the University of Louisville on Dec. 4th, and here is his suit that he wore to impress the school, I think that he looks pretty impressive. :-) Hopefully this will turn into the suit that got him into Dental School.

It was Josh's 27th Birthday on Dec. 6th, Megan and I had a lot of fun making his birthday cake. Megan does really well breaking the eggs into the bowl, and licking the spoon. We later went down to his work and dropped off balloons and some treats for him. Then after work, Josh and I went out to eat and left Megan at a babysitter, then came home and had some friends over for cake and ice cream.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

We had a lot of fun decorating our tree. Megan would tickle the tree when we were fluffing out the branches, it was funny. Megan enjoyed putting the ornaments on the tree, even though they all ended up in about the same area. We had to do a little adjusting once she was done. We also had Megan pick out her own ornament at the store. She picked out the sucker looking one. We had to keep telling her that she can't eat it. But now we are ready for Christmas and Santa Claus to visit our house.

Thanksgiving

This was our first Thanksgiving without family, but we spent it with our close friends. We all split up the cooking assignments, and Josh & I got to make the mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, Vegi tray & the best part, the pies. Everything turned out really good, we had no complaints on the food. We had a lot of fun and a TON of food, and the kids had a lot of fun taking out every toy in Megan's room and dumping them on the floor. We are so greatful for such wonderful friends that we have made while we are so far away from family.

My Sister's Visit

We had a lot of fun with my sister and her daughter Kylie here. Megan and Kylie became good friends and Megan loved to help out with Kylie. There were a few drawbacks since Megan was starting to act like a baby again, which may be a problem once baby brother comes. We'll have to see how she does once he arrives. But here are a few pictures taken throughout their trip here.

Lexington Children Museum

While Josh was in his clinic at the University of Kentucky my sister and I went to the children's museum and let the kids play. There was so much to do and look at Megan was going crazy. She couldnt sit still, she was constantly moving from activity to activity. My sister's daughter, Kylie also had a blast, especially in the toddler area.

Megan & Kylie on the moon!
Megan playing Doctor. She loved the clipboard and would give them to people.
Megan loved playing in the water, she got very soaked after playing here.

Horse Races @ Churchill downs

My sister came into town this past week to visit and we went to the Churchill Downs race track where the Kentucky Derby is held to check things out. There were races going on while we were there so we got to see an actual horse race too. It was really cool, Megan loved seeing the horses, and we even got to pet a horse. I would recommend to anyone visiting Kentucky to check out the horse races, it is really cool!

This is the warm up circle where they walk the horses around before the race. Horse #5 was the winner of the race that we watched!

Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year but very cold and a little rainy. This was Megan's first year going out trick-or-treating. In the past it has just been the ward trunk or treat. It was fun seeing Megan run up to houses and say Trick-or-Treat, and since she was a cute puppy they would give her a little extra not that we need it here at our house. But the best part is when she would get scared when the Halloween decorations would make noises. Josh & I got a good laugh out of it. But it was a lot of fun, I can't wait till we get to take her out again next year along with our little boy.

Baby Shower

Here are some pictures from my baby shower that my good friends threw for me. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of really cute clothes for our little boy. We just need a name for this little fella and then I think that we will be set. I am very greatful for the wonderful friends that we have made out here and for their support to our family, it makes it a little easier to survive life without our family.

Zoo Trick-or-Treating

Here at the Lousiville Zoo they do a big Trick-or-Treating event. They guide you through the zoo while you see different characters and pick up treats. It was a lot of fun and Megan loved it. We waited in horrible traffic to get there, it took us 1 hour to go 3 blocks. Josh was very frustrated and ready to start throwing rocks at any cars that tried to sneek in the line. But once we got there it was fun. Megan just loves any excuse to dress up in her dog outfit and get candy. Unfortunately there wasn't many animals out that you could see, but there was a lot of kids dressed up really cute.

Alexis' Birthday

Another year has past away and now I am 24! Birthdays aren't that exciting anymore, but it is fun to have a day where it is all about me! I would still prefer getting married every year instead of having birthdays, I think that weddings are more exciting. But my birthday was good this year. Josh woke me up with breakfast in bed and singing happy birthday with Megan. Then Megan let me sleep in some more which was great. Then later that evening Josh and I went out to eat without Megan which is our first time out without Megan in a little while, which was very nice. We then came home and had birthday cake with some friends. Then we also celebrated today (Sunday) by having friends over for dinner and games. It was a lot of fun!

Also I added another belly shot, so check that out, I am 31 weeks along! Only 9 weeks left... but who's counting! :-)
