A Little Behind

Things have been a little crazy around here the last couple of weeks. I'm a little behind on blogging, but I didn't want to miss posting about school starting. We've had visitors and doing lots of fun things and this little fella has been keeping me very busy.

He has his routine of going around the house terrorizing. From hitting the blinds, pulling out all the movies, pulling out all the books, eating and ripping any magazine he finds, digging in the diaper bag, and if I'm at the computer, pounding on the keyboard and playing with the mouse. So when this little fella is awake I am usually not on the computer... another reason why I haven't posted in awhile. We have started putting him in timeout, which he thinks is the coolest thing since he sees his older brother and sister sitting there all the time, now he gets to be like them. Unfortunately I think he finds timeout to be cool and not a punishment, hopefully that will change or I am going to have to figure out a new way to discipline.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Megan went back to school this week. She was so excited to go back. This year she has a friend from church in her class who lives close by which she is really excited about. When we went to school to meet her teacher this year we also found out that the little boy (Reese) that she thought was "handsome" in her class last year is in her class this year. She was very excited and slightly blushing. I can't believe that my little girl is in 2nd grade. She loved her first week of school, we look forward to seeing her progress in her knowledge and reading skills this year. She is already getting phone calls from friends to play, and she said that Reese even played with her on the first day of school which she was very excited and bashful about.

We also got to go to Bryson's preschool this week and meet his teacher and see his classroom. He was so excited that day and had a lot of fun exploring his classroom.
He found his name on the floor where he will be sitting.
Here he is sitting on the bus that he will ride to and from school. They have to wear seat belts on their bus. This is the part that I'm worried about... getting him on the bus. He use to always ask "is that my bus?" whenever we passed a bus on the street, but when we got to his bus and he was able to go on it, he didn't want to. Megan helped get him on the bus, but he was very nervous. I hope that he will do fine on Monday when it is time to go on the bus.
After checking out the bus we went and checked out his playground that he will get to play on everyday. He was very excited to play on it, since every time we stopped by his school to turn in paperwork we had to drive by the playground so he could imagine himself playing on it. This was the only picture I got.
It's going to be weird sending him off to preschool and having a whole morning with only Connor. He will be leaving to school at 7:25am and coming home at 11:45am. I hope that he will do well on Monday and he will have lots of fun things to talk about to make him want to go back the next day.

Megan looks SO OLD and grown up in her picture. Seriously what is it about going back to school that we realize how big our kids are getting? It's so crazy!
