Halloween

Our Halloween night! Once Daddy got home from work we headed out Trick-or-Treating, we had to start the night off with pictures of their costumes... Snow Princess
& Chicken (Kentucky Fried Chicken as Uncle Mike says)
On the road... Trick or Treating

No one home... that seemed to happen A Lot tonight!
Megan said she was all done with taking pictures.
But we got one more with her good friend Emma who lives across the street!
The LOOT!
So... good!
Last picture before we take the costume off!
Long day and ready for bed.

Happy Halloween!

Ward Trunk or Treat

Tonight was our ward Trunk or Treat and since Josh is not feeling well, he stayed home with Bryson and I took Megan to have some fun. Really there was trick or treating, but I was too busy talking that I didn't get any pictures. I did get a photo of our Branch President and his wife who were also the hosts of our Halloween Party. I loved their costumes, except for the party they were "dead" and a little more scary looking. But Megan played some Bingo, ate candy and adopted this little dog for a gentleman from our Branch for the night. She went around showing it to everyone as if it was hers. Now she is excited for tomorrow cause she gets to wear her costume to school for a parade and then go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. So much candy, I need to start running again.

Who Do Our Kids Look Like???

So I got this idea from a couple of people who had done it and thought that I would try it out. Since everyone is asking who each child looks like, so here is your answer from the Look-alike meter.

1st Time

2nd Time

So I don't really agree with this, I always thought that Bryson looked more like Josh, but I tried this a couple times and the results were the same.

So I thought that it would be fun to see who our kids look like all dressed up... So here is our Halloween Look-alike Meter

If you thought that these were fun and you want to try them for yourself, go to... http://www.myheritage.com/

Ok, so one more... Who do I look like? I always thought that I looked like my Mom, but apparently I look like both of my parents.

Grown Ups Gone WILD!

This weekend Josh and I attended an amazing Halloween party. We were cut short on time to get a Halloween costume, so we went as the odd couple. During the party we split up into groups and have 1 hour to complete 10 scavenger items, 10 informational items, like how much does a certain menu item cost or what is the name on the tallest tombstone in the cemetery; then we also had 10 photo pictures that we had to accomplish as well. (which are pictured below) We also had 5 puzzles that we had to work on while getting these other 30 items. Really the whole thing was a BLAST! And I am proud to say that our team got 1st place!

I wish that I had pictures of a lot of the other people that were there, since there were a lot of good costumes. We really look forward to next years party, and thank you to the Langford's for a fun filled evening, with about 30 other crazy adults! Josh and I are also taking any couple costume ideas for next year!

Birthday Cake & Birthday Dinner!

I know that I am a little late on posting these pictures since they happened over the weekend, and now the weekend is only 2 days away! (Hurray!) But life has been a little busy this week since Megan is on Fall break, it has rained the past 2 days, so we haven't left the house, and I have been trying to entertain Megan and deal with "house issues" all day. And when it rains, Megan won't take a nap. And since it is not raining yet today, she is asleep and I am catching up on things.
We went out to dinner for my birthday, cause seriously, who likes to cook dinner on their birthday? And here are my cute kids, Bryson tasting a lemon for the first time. He pulled a better face after, but our camera is a little slow, (can't wait to get our new camera!) Then a cute picture of Megan coloring, which is really all she has been doing for the past 2 days.

Sunday we invited some friends over for Birthday cake, and Josh let Megan take the pictures, not exactly my best side, but it's proof that we did have cake, which I did make, it is my favorite kind, Better than Sex Cake. The best!
And here is a cute picture of Megan and her friend, Rylee.

Magic Show & Garden

Yesterday we took the kids to an event at the Yew Dell Gardens, we missed the beginning with the trick-or-treating, but we saw the magic show. Which was only cool if you were under the age of 10. But it was fun for Megan at least. After the show we walked around the garden and found this cool walk way so we took pictures. Below is the picture of the magic show, I was sitting behind Josh and Megan, and then you can see "Mr. Magic" talking to his rabbit.

25

So today I turned 25 years old. I am excited since I can now officially drive a rental car (not like we drive rentals really), but now I don't have limits on anything. Josh reminds me today that I am half way to 50, but I really hope that these next 25 years are better then the first. No more awkward stages of funny hair dues, braces, boyfriends, break ups, girl fights, sibling fights, and chores (now I get to do it all!)
Also on my birthday I was thinking that Birthdays should really be a tribute to Moms. We push the kid out (or get them torn out of us) change diapers, feed them, raise them to be "little angels" (which every child has their own interpretation) and no one even remembers us and what we did on their birth day. So today I thought that I would pay tribute to my Mother and thank her for giving me my life so that today can be all about me (which really never happens) Thank you for taking care of me, loving me (even through those hard teenage years) and doing everything for me that I didn't even realize that you did until I am raising my own children. You are amazing Mom, thanks for everything, I love you. Oh, and Dad I guess you had a part in giving me a birth day too, so Thanks for your help, and for raising me to be the "perfect angel." I love you too. Unfortunately on a day that is suppose to be all about me, it never happens that way, even on my husbands attempts to try and make it a special day, somehow things just don't happen that way. So thank you sweetie for always trying, I love you for it! Happy Birthday to me!
My Dad also made a fun Birthday page for me that I thought was nice so I wanted to share it with you... http://www.plushcc.com/alexis/birthday.html
Now you can see some of the awkward stages of life. (And if pictures don't come up just hit the refresh button.)

Preschool Fall Festival

Bryson & I went to hang out at Megan's Preschool with her today for her Fall Festival. Unfortunately since it was raining in the morning they had to cancel all the outdoor activities and had to just do stuff inside in the classrooms. When we showed up Megan was so excited to see us, and then got into a weird shy mood (which her teacher said she never acts like) and she didn't want me to take a picture of her, so I just had to sneak pictures, cuz if I told her that I was taking the picture she would hide and get mad. But by the end of the day she was doing better. Megan said her favorite thing she did today was get a pumpkin. I really enjoyed seeing her at school and meeting some of the friends that she talks about.

Megan even let Bryson have a turn at the games

I was very impressed watching Megan take turns with the other kids and helping out the teachers by getting the balls and bean bags after they were thrown. I was a very proud mother.

Tractor Race
Since it was inside they could only go one at a time down the hall. But it was fun watching the kids peddle as fast as they could and almost hitting into walls and people walking by. Don't worry, no one was harmed in the making of this film.
