Firsts & Last

I have been trying to post this all week, but just can't find the time. So here it is. Connor has been having some firsts lately, and then a couple of other fun things.

One day after the kids swimming lessons we decided to stay after and take the kids swimming which was Connor's first time swimming. His face explains it all. Not much excitment out of him. We tried to have him splash or play, but he just chilled and watched.
(3/13/10)

We should have had him take his first bath, in the big tub before, since he learned how fun it was to splash. (Bryson was being a booger and wouldn't open his eyes)
(3/14/10)

Connor also recieved his first haircut. We took the shaver to his hair to even out all of his hair. He looks so much older, and much better.
(3/20/10)

Megan & Bryson also had their last swim lessons on Saturday....
(3/28/10)

No more swim lessons for awhile since the kids are now doing soccer, which they started on Saturday! This is Bryson's first time playing soccer and Josh voulanteered to be his coach, which will be his first time coaching. Saturday was too crazy and I forgot to take pictures, but there will be lots of pictures to come. Bryson is on the teal team and Megan is on the orange team.

Feeling a little Green!

We usually don’t do anything special for St. Patrick’s Day besides wear green, but this year I really made an effort.
We had story time at the library for Bryson and they had people from the zoo there with some animals.  Which was really cool.  Here are some of the animals they got to see…

And some of them they got to touch.

I had Bryson paint the hats and then we decorated them when Megan got home from school.  Connor really enjoyed the hat.  His is the only one that actually fit his head.

Then for dinner I tried to find as much green food as I could.  So we ate salad, with green dyed ravioli, pistachio pudding, breadsticks (had green herbs on it) and then lemon/lime kool-aid.  DSC01073

We had a fun day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

No More Studying...

My test is over and what a relief to be done. I was completely stressed and drained from the hours of studying each night for the last couple of months. Thank you to everyone who prayed, fasted, and offered kind words of encouragement. I really felt everyone's help today. For those who understand the DAT the three major scores I got today are:

Total Science: 19 Academic Average: 19 PAT: 21

This was the third time I have taken this exam and my scores did improve a little.
Thanks again for all the support from friends and family. I will attempt to meet with some people Friday at the dental school to see what happens next. Hopefully...an acceptance letter!

Josh

I'm a Big Boy Now!

Just wanting to brag about how proud I am of Bryson. He wore his big boys all day yesterday and kept them dry. (we even went and ran errands) Today he has kept them dry so far! I am actually starting to feel like he is getting the hang of it. He runs to the bathroom when he feels like he needs to go. We are going out for another outing today so hopefully he will do good. This really seems like a BIG hurdle for him and I am so proud that he is finally doing it. That means no more $40 boxes of diapers! We are still wearing them at night since he hasn't gotten that down. But 1 diaper a day... I can do that!

HELP... or not!

So last night I was working on the computer, the kids were in bed and Josh was in our bedroom studying when I started to hear (what I thought) someone trying to get in our front door. I froze and just listened. I almost yelled for Josh when the noise stopped. I went to the door and turned on the outside light and didn't see anything. But I saw a car pulling away. I went to Connor's bedroom window and looked out and just saw a car driving away. I went back to the front door and decided to open it to see if someone had tried to pick the lock or something. But instead this is what I found...

Much better than a burglar! We felt really touched and loved that someone would do something like this for us. Thanks to whoever did this, it really touched us!

Josh has his test tomorrow (Thurs) we hope that he will do well. Thanks to everyone who has been praying for him... one more night! We'll let you know how he does... hopefully good!

Happy Day

I woke up today feeling good. The sun is shining and it is 60 degrees. Here are a few things that happened last week which made me happy.
Connor's bottom 2 teeth have come through and he isn't so grumpy anymore!
He is always laughing and smiling which makes me happy, no matter what the weather is outside. He is a little bundle of sunshine!
Megan got up in Church yesterday and bore her testimony in Sacrament.
(read about it here)
Megan was also happy to get a surprise package from her Aunt with this cute headband that she had made. She instantly put it in her hair. Love it!!

Bryson went #2 in the potty last week all by himself. (even though he peed his pants later that day and refused to wear big boys till today, it still made me happy that he went in the toilet. One step closer on our never ending journey.)

This whole week is suppose to be in the 50's! The only down side is that it is suppose to rain most of the week. (hopefully the forecast is wrong.) So we took advantage of today and called up a bunch of friends and went to the park for lunch.

Connor's first time in a swing, he was happy.

I am feeling a little lighter this week since I lost 5 pounds last week! I started a new work out schedule 2 weeks ago and it is really nice to see the results!

Josh is still studying really hard and I will be HAPPY, and I am sure he will be too, once his test is over Thursday night. He has been studying VERY hard and we all hope and pray that his hard work will pay off in good scores.

I hope you all have a happy week!

Another Tooth Story

This one is about Connor. He has been fussy the last couple of weeks and I didn't know why. I never thought that it would be a tooth since his brother and sister didn't teeth till they were 1. But yesterday when I was feeding him I saw it... his first tooth! (and he wouldn't let me get a picture of it)
Now I'm a little nervous about continuing nursing. I haven't nursed a child with a tooth. Any tips?
