It's Back!

Yesterday we got our camera back and it is working the way it is suppose to. I was a little bummed that it didn't come before our fun trip to the zoo, but at least it is here before Josh's Mom arrives. I am also bummed that our weather that has been so nice the last couple of days is going away since it is going to rain tomorrow. Yesterday we were at 76 degrees, I even got burned at the zoo yesterday, we have been spending a lot of time out doors. Megan's Spring Break started yesterday and we celebrated our first day by going to the zoo with a lot of friends from our Branch, it was a lot of fun and was dieing the whole time without my camera, so you can just picture Bryson's expressions seeing all of the animals for the first time, and riding the train, he had to sit by himself and not on my lap, he looked like such a big boy. And Megan running around with her friends, climbing on all the animal statues and getting into everyone else's pictures. It was blast, but I am glad that our camera is back so that I can start taking pictures again! HURRAY!!

One of my friends sent me a couple of pictures from the zoo, the cute girl next to Megan is Emma from Church (Megan has a couple Emma's that she knows)

Conference

What a wonderful weekend we had watching conference, trying to entertain the kids so that we can listen, playing Where's Wayne whenever the Tabernacle Choir sang. I had a friend e-mail me this cute conference packet for kids so Megan colored ties for all the apostles when they spoke, Bryson would fold his arms after every song and when he would hear someone say 'Amen', and conducted the music whenever they sang. I really enjoyed watching conference, but I think that my favorite sessions were the first and the last, maybe partially because I was actually able to listen, but I loved Elder Nelson's, and Elder Ballard's talks. I am grateful that I was able to watch and sustain our new prophet, Thomas S. Monson, what a wonderful man he is, he has always been one of my favorites, (not like you can really pick one since they are all great) I love the stories that he tells and he reminds me of my Grandpa. And to all the married women out there if you, or your husband missed Elder Ballard's talk in the last session, you better sit down and watch it, you won't regret it. Every man needs to watch/read his talk. When we were watching it Josh leaned over to me and said "I guess I am doing alright!" And I would have to agree, I have a wonderful husband!! I hope that you guys enjoyed your weekend as much as I did mine, what did you like best about conference?

Family Sport Night

Last night Megan's preschool had a family sports night that we went to. It was very interesting observing Megan and Bryson in the same situation. There were plenty of activities going on... bean bag tosses, hula hoops, parachute, lots of balls, golf, tunnels... Megan went running in and went running from one activity to the next as quick as she could. Bryson just stood there and watched, he wouldn't move. Here is the only picture that we got (since we are still using our old camera which we had to tape to keep the battery compartment shut, I can't wait till our new camera is back.)

Megan loved running around and would try and show her teacher EVERYTHING. Nothing amazing, just "watch me, watch me" and then she would run in a circle and wait till her teacher told her that she ran super fast. Then she would hula hoop, throw balls, whatever she could to get some attention. Megan LOVES her preschool teacher, I hope that she will love her Kindergarten teacher just as much.

Bryson eventually got entertained with the soccer balls, he would get so excited when one would come by him and would chase them everywhere. It was a fun night and Megan was exhausted and ready for bed, unfortunately we had a thunderstorm last night so Megan was up on and off throughout the night going from our room to her bed to the couch, to her bed to the couch, then finally back to our bedroom on the floor, in hopes that we would get some sleep, unfortunately the thunder kept waking us up last night, I think the only one that got some sleep last night was Bryson.

Shlop Shlop Shloppy Joes

Bryson puts the sloppy into sloppy joes. Tonight we had sloppy joes and Bryson liked them so much that he even had to lick his plate. We just are having camera problems, (our new camera is in the shop and so we are using our old one, which reset on us, so we missed the cute picture of him licking his plate while we were resetting) but we did get the face afterwards, it was great!

We Did It!

Today was the last leg of the Triple Crown of running the Papa John's 10 Miler. Josh and I ran together while our dear friend Brandi watched the kids in the freezing weather. There was a horrible freezing breeze that we had to run against on the last 3-4 miles, which felt a little refreshing at times, but bone chilling at others, so I can't imagine how cold Brandi and the kids must have been. They were bundled up pretty good, Brandi had 5 layers on once we met up with them after the race.
So here are the pictures... Megan chilling waiting for us at the finish line. We had to run around the stadium to the finish line.

Josh & I running in to the finish, we finished in 1 hour 30 minutes and 9 seconds. Josh did great, he stayed with me the whole time even though I think he could have finished a lot sooner, but he stayed with me and helped me finish. I felt like I was going to drop at mile 9... and then it went up hill, it was awful, but Josh stayed with me and helped me get through the last hill. What a great husband I have!
Here we just finished and are walking to go stretch. We were the 1,816 & 1,817th to finish out of 5,870 people. The first place guy ran it in 49:55, WOW!
Here we are with the kids.

I am glad that it is over with and that we did it! I ran 3 races, with thousands of people, got 2 blisters and 1 ugly toe. And Josh ran 1 race and got 1 hurt foot. Today we are going to do a lot of relaxing and resting up our injuries. This might be my last race till after our next baby (no I am not announcing anything), I don't know, we will see if we will run another race soon.

Easter Fun

For Easter dinner we were invited to our friends house with a couple of other families and we had a delicious ham, roast & potato dinner & an Easter egg hunt. I don't think any of the kids really had more than a couple bites of roll & candy for dinner. It was a lot of fun, it was great company and the kids are all the same age and played very well together. Thanks Anderson's and Thurstons for a great Easter dinner! We had a great weekend with Jacob, Julia, Loraya & Isaac. It was a lot of fun to see family and to spice up our weekend. I just wish that it was a little bit warmer so that we could have played outside a little more.
Thanks guys for driving out here to spend Easter with us, it was a blast!

Easter Morning

The Easter bunny came to our house and left some goodies for the kids, so we had to take some pictures...

Kids in their Easter outfits, Grandma got this dress for Megan, which she almost ruined 2 weeks before, but luckily to lots of stain stick and washing it 2 times, it looks perfect.

It took us 4 stores to find this cute outfit for Bryson. Who would have thought that finding an outfit for Bryson would be so hard, but we did, and he looked handsome.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we took Megan to an Easter egg hunt at the park with her cousin Loraya who was in town visiting. We showed up a little late so they missed their race so they joined the 5-7 year olds. But they did get some eggs and were very excited.

Check out all the eggs on the grass. I kept calling it a race and then correcting myself to call it a hunt. Megan asked me why I kept calling it a race. I told her that she didn't really need to look for the eggs, she just needed to race to pick them up.

Us with the Easter Bunny! We even had the Easter Bunny come to our house on Easter. We were getting ready to leave to church when the doorbell rang and the kids start yelling "It's the Easter Bunny!" We were all like, "ya okay." Then I looked out and saw the Easter Bunny myself with a guy and his camera. So I opened the door and it was our neighbor with the Easter bunny giving candy to the kids... I don't have pictures of that, but it was cool, and very nice of our neighbor. But here we are with the Easter bunny in the park.

Jacob and Josh holding the baskets so that the kids could play on the playground. It was pretty cold again this year. The day before was in the 60's and then it went to the 40's with a brutal freezing wind. At least the kids had fun!
